Splashy sun hats!

Why didn’t I pick up on this sooner?!?!

Big sun hats are very in for this summer, or very BIG should I say. Actually, sun hats really are a wardrobe staple in my book. There is something so playful about sun hats…they can make even an ordinary trip running errands in the summertime feel kooky and fun.

I am loving these Jacques Le Corre sun hats…pity my current money status doesn’t. By the time the summer ends and I have my job earnings I will have enough to buy one! But the season will be over, and saving for fabric is a must.

The colors Le Corre uses are faboo. These hats make me want to don my cut-out swimsuit, get a fake tan, wear huge sunglasses and go swimming at the beach.

The lovely Grace Kelly’s look in “To Catch A Thief” is incredible, and the sun hat certainly adds lots of panache.

This hat below reminds me of the outfit that Kelly is wearing in the photo above, except all whipped up and swirled into one hat.

But how big is too big? Sex and the City star Kim Catrall’s hat is an example of, well…the biggest sun hat that I have ever seen!!

Actually, I think it’s pretty cool, a bit like having a personal umbrella.
